Unmonumental is a band from Athens, Ohio formed in 2013, and made up of four old friends who have long played together in various combinations. Songs range from slow and building psychedelia to heavier post-rock inspired instrumentals, all with a range of influences and inspirations from everyone. Its members have spent time / spend time in Swage, Weedghost, Spineriders, Infernal Objects, Small Object a, Casual Future, Goodbye Goats, The Arch Villains, Schweinhunden, State Park, Remainder, Songs: Ohia, Dinner of Swords, Coshocton, Casiotone Orchstestra and countless other bands and projects over the past several decades. They play a handful of shows each year in Athens and around Ohio, maybe even this one on a porch.
