The Bees have been bringing excitement and joy to dance floors throughout southeastern Ohio for over ten years. We love the music of New Orleans and early R&B, as well as more contemporary songs, along with many original compositions. Our one guiding principle is that it is DANCEABLE!! Above all, we want you to have a great time and come away from our show with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.
The noble honeybee works for the good of the hive. In much the same way, we believe in the importance of community; our fans and supporters come to hear us, because we are here for them.
In New Orleans street parades, they have a tradition called the Second Line. The First Line is made up of musicians. But the Second Line is everyone else: grandparents, babies, mothers and fathers - regular folk. Every parade is referred to as a Second Line, out of respect, because those are the people who are the most important. Without the community, there would be no reason to play music. It's something we take quite seriously.
